LiSALab srl has been established in the 2nd Quarter 2003 as an European Commission Ispra Joint Research Centre start-up project based on the efforts and entrepreneurship of its founders, that wanted to make available to everybody the technologies developed inside the Centre.
The Company offers mainly monitoring and surveillance services of the subsidence and deformities phenomena of both the ground and manmade structures, engineering services and Research and Development activities. In addition it joins the design, the production, the selling of electronic, electro-mechanical and mechanical components, the software development and systems integration too. Everything is finalised to the customers satisfaction giving them a complete turnkey service.
On July 2003, the company started in its headquarter located in the Tecnocity Business Innovation Centre of Legnano (Milan-Italy).
LiSALabīs strength points are the results and the experience acquired of years of research about the synthetic aperture radar (SAR) performed by its promoter.
Developing a specific system known as GBInSAR LiSA that now reached an operative state, they decided to turn the scientific results in a service available to the market. The proposal has been positively accepted by the European Commission that, by means of the ECIS project, supported the creation of LiSALab company. On June 2003 it granted the company an exclusive licence to exploit commercially this technology.
The company promoter is Ph.D. Davide Leva, that during his service in the European Commissionīs Joint Research Centre personally followed the development and the implementation of many GBInSAR LiSA platforms.
In 2003 LiSALab has been rewarded by the Province of Milan as the best innovative idea of 234 analysed ones.
Since then LiSALab offered its services both in normal operations and in emergency cases.
In 2003 LiSALab provided its services to the Earth Science Department of the University of Florence and to the National Civil Protection Department, using the GBInSAR LiSA tecnology to monitor the stability of the Stromboli volcano flank and to provide warning software to be used in an emergency status declared by the Italian government.
Up to now LiSALabīs services have been appreciated by both italian and foreign public and private customers, also reaching Japan.

 the national, regional, provincial or municipal administrations both Italian and foreign;
the Italian and foreigner Internal and Public Works Ministers;
public bodies and agencies like Civil Protections, Regional Environment Protection Agencies,
 geological surveys;
the electric power producers and dam managing companies;
excavation companies;
engineering and geological companies.
